A previous commenter said it perfectly earlier so I will echo his sentiments below. Please put the American citizens on an even playing field with the rest of the world. We should be leading, not playing catch-up in this space.

"CFTC should approve the FTX request to improve access to futures markets and to reduce the risk of margin trading in the United States. It is absurd that US residents lack access to modern crypto margin trading - something that is available nearly globally ex-US - and that futures accounts must be separated from spot accounts. US retail traders need the ability to hedge positions against crypto volatility, and deserve continuous margining rather than once per day. CFTC needs to approve direct-to-consumer margin and to allow US investors to trade on an even playing field with the rest of the world."
