The lack of convergence continues to challenge the country elevator, while the significant discrepancy between high futures price and weak/wide basis has and will continue to affect the performance of crop insurance, leading to continued challenges for the American farmer.
Having at least an annual review to discuss storage rates will allow the market to act accordingly. The current situation leads to decisions being made after its too late. The market needs to be proactive in a market that continues to evolve.
