I think Mr. Giancarlo and Mr. Turner were incredibly thoughtful and well versed in blockchain technology and its potential huge positive impact on the US and the world economy. This technology will certainly be even more transformative than the Internet and cell phones. America needs to lead in this area of innovation and not let foreign competitors like Switzerland and Singapore get too much of a head start. The applications for blockchain and Ethereum in particular are widespread and diverse for government applications. Look at Dubai for example. Talk to Joe Lubin at Consensys in Brooklyn. There needs to be a new Task Force to help government transition to a blockchain world. A strategic reserve of Ethereum ether and bitcoin is a good idea. The USA cannot let other countries surpass it in this technology that will soon underpin the next generation global economy.
