“Evil persists when a good people turn a blind eye and do nothing about it”. The CFTC does not want be associated with Noor Salman. The wife of the gunman who killed 49 people at the Orlando Gay nightclub had the opportunity to act and chose to do nothing. The losses which the 49 families are experiencing were preventable and thus not acceptable. The real-time losses from algorithmic trading are preventable and likewise intolerable.
There will be consequences for failure to regulate properly. See attached.
