I urge the commission to pass a new set of rules that woulds strictly limit speculation on the proposed 28 core markets, including crude oil, fuel oil, gasoline, and natural gas. The unfettered and reckless speculation on commodities causes great harm to consumers during a time of national financial hardship for many Americans. Citizens cannot even plan a budget when speculator gambling causes large fluctuations in consumer prices in good needed to maintain our livelihoods, like fuel related commodities and food commodities to feed our families. we wind up spending our money to survive and have little or nothing left to contribute to the general economic recovery our nation so badly needs. I strongly support the CFTC in placing strict regulatory limits on speculation.
Thank you for considering my comment.
