Keeping speculators in check is obviously a means to stabilize the markets as well as the economy. It is evident, that even in the short time that petroleum products have decreased in cost, the economy in general and wage earners in particular have recognized an encouraging outcome, that seem to be stimulating the markets as well as the psychology of consumers. Please see that the CFTC's rules on speculation are not only enforced but actually strengthened if at all possible.
