Like many other citizens of our great country, I am very much enjoying the new, lower gasoline prices. That this has been caused by the CFTC putting a halt to trading in gasoline futures is cause to give you my heartfelt thanks. Thank you for helping the bottom line of each and every working person.
My family does not have a bunch of cash to invest in fuel. My drive time is over 20 miles each way to work, and even with an 'economy' car, gasoline had become a considerable portion of my monthly budget. I have every hope that your rules will become official in the spring, making the prices for everyday needs like groceries and gasoline drop as a result.
