Despite being an investor in the stock and bond market, I strongly believe that speculation must be reined in and regulated.
Dodd-Frank should have been strengthened, not weakened. The recent repeal of Section 716 of Dodd-Frank, which makes taxpayers responsible now for the trillion or so in shale-oil related derivative paper through the FDIC, is a despicable outrage.
The Glass-Steagall Act should be reinstated and strengthened.
Apparently, nothing positive nor responsible was learned from the 2008 economic collapse.
