commenter_comments: I am against lowering the leverage limit to 10:1. I
have several live accounts with US brokers as well
as brokers in the UK and Switzerland. If the
leverage is lowered, I will close all US accounts
and move funds offshore. I am sure that other
traders well do the same. The net effect will be
loss of jobs in the US as well as loss of income
for the government from less taxes. This would
certainly make the US look like wimps to the rest
of the international financial world. It would also
mean that the offshore accounts would not have the
protection offered by the NFA.
