Chairman Gensler,
I beleive the gas prices currently are having to great of an impact on the lower and middle class families in this country. When Americans have to decide between filling their gas tanks and buying essentials for their families, that is getting to be ridiculous. Especially when most companies have already stopped giving cost of living raises and have increased the cost of benefits. The biggest concern that most people have is that there is no logical reason why the prices should be so high. I beleive that if our government really wanted to put regulations on oil speculators, they would have already done so. But in my opinion, there is very little incentive for chairmen and congressional leaders in our government to make such changes. The only way that I can truly voice my displeasure is at the voting booths. If you want to make an impact for the people you serve, start imposing stiffer penalties of speculators now. Otherwise, this counrty is never truly going to recover from the recesion we are in.

Jason Ebert
