Subject: Wild Speculation continues to ruin the market
Dear Governmental Regulators,
Please place strict and hard limits to the amount of speculation on our food and oil markets. The excessive speculation by traders who do not use the product they are trading, but run up the price to make quick profits at the expense of those who do use the products in unethical, immoral, and should be criminal. Especially when you consider they pay less taxes on their ill gotten gains then the customer of those product do just for working to earn enough to buy those every day products every day!
The Commodity Markets were set up to help distribute limited resources and to guarantee prices in a volatile market, not to give non-users a mechanism to make huge profits while denying the end user of their much needed products.
You are tasked with governing these speculators and have been lobbied by Wall Street to continue to give them favorable treatment before the US citizen you represent. That is unethical on their part, and something you must guard against, as you step forward and place reasonable limits to the drastic swings speculators have placed on the future prices of common every day commodities. Remember, you represent the unrepresented American citizen, not the fictitious person created by an act of legislature that can't vote.
Please do your duty and represent the common, every day, private citizen that can vote (adults) and the future of this country that can not yet vote (our children).
Respectfully,
Bruce Wade Helms Roberts
