Dear Sir,
The American economy is in terrible shape as we know, but there has been a trend for some time that has caused much economic instability and that is, speculators driving up the price of oil, corn, cotton etc. This needs to stop or we as nation will be suffering the results.
The fear of shortages from speculators results in inflation on the prices of these goods.
We need a clear directive from Congress that we will not accept this type of behavior; this is why I have taken the time to write you.
Congress is not listening. I hope Commodity Futures Trading Commission - and its members will put a stop to speculators from interfering with the price of food and energy.
Thank you for your time,
