Dear CFTC,
I have recently read several articles documenting the increasing rate of poverty in the US. People are making less money, or can't find jobs, at all. At the same time, speculators are being allowed to jack up the cost of food and oil, by buying speculative contracts to make a quick buck. It seems irresponsible to me, that this type of speculation is allowed to continue unchecked, while American citizens already have a hard time feeding themselves and paying for necessities.
I believe it would be a great help to the American people, as well as members of the world community who consume American commodities, to set meaningful controls on the rampant speculation, such as imposing meaningful position limits. Please do so.
Thank You,
