Let's stop speculators and limit cash settled contracts. How about forcing people who buy commodities to take possession of them at some point? Even if they're bidding on a future price, make them take possession at the future date. Wouldn't that stop people who do not use thousands of barrels of oil themselves for example from speculating. i know I wouldn't want a thousand barrels of oil dropped off at my house!
Let's stop listening to Wall Street lobbyists. In fact let's just stop lobbyists altogether.
We need to keep prices real for the average consumer. Eliminating speculation will go a long way toward that.
Please pass this bill. It will be a start.
