I have doubts as to the meaning or the efficacy of the recent allowance of "a good faith attempt to comply with the reporting requirements" in regards to large swaps trader reporting for physical commodities. The entities with a vested interest in these trades will be more likely to use this opportunity to push more trades in their favor by increasing their positions rather than self-regulating. There also seems to be danger in delaying mandates involved in the Dodd-Frank bill. I am concerned that this action serves to give entities under investigation for fraud such as JP Morgan the chance to continue to manipulate markets. Please act as soon as possible to enforce these reporting requirements and position limits.
