Futures trading appears to be driving current prices (rather than protecting for catastrophic prices in the future). The ramifications of increasing costs for food and other necessities are difficult for American citizens - but sometimes catastrophic for citizens living in parts of the world already struggling with famine and other economic tragedies.
Please make decisions based on the needs of the public at large (and citizens of the world), reining in speculation of Wall Street funds and rejecting the influence of Wall St. lobbyists.
