On August 15, CFTC Commission staff contacted Christopher Bowen (Managing Director and Chief Regulatory Counsel, CME) to request the underlying data, studies and analysis that CME referenced and/or relied upon in comments it submitted on August 3, 2011 in the comment file for the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for “Core Principles and Other Requirements for Designated Contract Markets” (75 FR 80572 (Dec. 22, 2010)). Staff requested that CME provide the requested information by August 22, 2011.
