We are an independently owned grain operator and soybean processor in south central Nebraska. We are opposed to increasing the limits on corn from 30 - 50 cents. We are a legitimate hedger and find the influx of non-agriculturally based monies has hurt us dramatically. There is no relation anymore to supply and demand but rather who is buying, who is dumping. This has caused us along with the price increase in corn to have to borrow vastly larger sums of money to continue our regular operations with the same number of bushels. The volatility also makes mistakes very costly. The livestock industry can not exist with this volatility and unpredictability.
