The last time gasoline prices soared, so did food prices. When gas prices receeded, food did not. Oil is currently under $100 a barrel. For Americans with any sort of memory, the current high price of gasoline is clearly yet again because of speculators. I have just returned from the grocery store and prices have already soared. I believe it is un-American to allow speculators to affect our fragile recovering economy in such a devastating manner. The only thing all Americans MUST buy are fuel and food. It is almost treasoness to allow this to continue unabated. I will next be contacting my representatives in Congress, the president of the USA and ALL of my Facebook friends regarding this situation, encouraging them to make their voices heard. Please rein these people in NOW.
