There has to be something that can be done about the rising gas prices. The United States economy is supposedly in a recession, and rising gas prices does not help in the least bit. If anything, it only makes matters worse. As our economy makes slow progression, we as individuals have to withhold from leisure activities and even bare necessities to afford the rising gas prices. The cost of living is going up, and companies are producing "record" numbers, but the income is going up. Over the past few weeks, the same amount of money that it took me to fill up my gas tank has risen by double digit bills. So, I'm paying more money for the same product. Which that money is now being taken from elsewhere.
