Additional Information :
The parties discussed the establishment of a Legal Entity Identifier ("LEI") for real time reporting. The EU is comfortable with the US moving ahead on this. AFME believes the creation of a LEI is crucial to make trade repositories work.
AFME also asked whether the CFTC will recognize foreign CCPs. CFTC staff said that perhaps after the rules in the US and EU are in place.
