Dear Chairman Gensler -
The big banks are pushing for changes in the requirements of the Dodd-Frank bill that would hide important trades.
Dodd-Frank is weak enough already, and it does contain legitimate exemptions for farmers and other industries, who hedge as part of their business.
Please do NOT broaden these exemptions, which would again permit banks to indulge in the risky adventures which brought us to a meltdown.
We the people pay the price when banks fail and banks go free - please implement Dodd-Frank as it is, and do not cave in to the enormous pressure you must be getting from the bankers.
We thank you for standing with the people.
