I welcome and support introduction of the Dodd-Frank Act, especially regarding the reforms aimed at limiting excessive speculation in food and energy commodities. This practice is having a huge effect on destabilising and inflating food prices out of the reach of billions of people and it urgently needs to be brought under regulatory control.
