I am a citizen in favor of strong regulation for the financial markets, particularly the completely unregulated swaps market. Individuals cannot possibly understand this market very well, and I suspect that many of its participants can't either.
We can, however, understand that a failure to regulate leads to abuse and potentially -- as we have seen -- collapse.
Please, please, take a stand that helps to protect us from future failures that can affect the entire economy, by implementing regulations that will protect us from another such collapse!
