Comment Text:
speculation in food and energy commodities should be strictly regulated and hefty fines and jail sentences imposed on speculators whose actions push the prices up on all those basics we need to live.
Trading by any of the entities that led to the financial crash and bailout should be strictly enforced and even stopped.
This kind of speculation hurts people who have no resources to fall back on. The poor, the elderly, children and the unemployed. The well being of all in our society should come before profits which harm the rest of us.
I expect the commission to formulate and enforce regulations that protect those of us who actually do pay our taxes every year. Our hard earned dollars which are disappearing before our eyes deserve to be treated with the respect they deserve.
