In my view, the CFTC was put in place to have oversight in regulating the commodity futures and option markets in the United States by protecting market participants against fraud, manipulation, and abusive trading practices, and by ensuring the financial integrity of the clearing process. Sound familar...it's from your very own web page!
I feel this office has failed in that regard, as there is mounting evidence to substantiate that there has been on-going manipulation, specifically, in the silver futures markets as many astute proponents attest too. An investigation, by the CFTC office, exceeding now, I believe, for some two years plus into this matter and "no results" have now transpired into a public outcry which requires your immediate attention.
If the CFTC's mission is to protect market users and the public from fraud, manipulation, and abusive practices related to the sale of commodity and financial futures and options, and to foster open, competitive, and financially sound futures and option markets (sound familar, your web page again), isn't time that the CFTC holds themselves accountable and serve the people you were appointed too serve.
My simple question to the CFTC is; you should ask yourself, are the true obligations of what has been mandated for the staff of this office being dutifully performed as the purpose of the installation of this office, so the needs of the public whose eyes are watching the CFTC that you were meant protect, are being compassionately and sincerely met? Am I to believe, that this office can look themselves, individually, in the mirror and honestly say they are doing their job to the best and with the most efficiency of their own capabilities to serve the very people they are instructed to serve and protect?
I am a Canadian citizen and not an American by citizenship but I truly love the United States of America with it's rich history and vast beautiful landscape, who I've always looked up too as a big brother and for it's charisma in leading the people in a morally right direction. This is a image I've been questioning lately as despondency has been finding it's way of entering my mind due to the lack of expected response to this issue in front of your (CFTC) office, which the people of United States of America anxiously await.
The evidence is there, two years is enough....I'd be long-gone fired and quickly replaced if I'd dragged my heels in such a nefarious display of mannerism, so please, with all due respect, step-up to the plate and play hardball for the people, your employer, who ask that they be served for what their hard earned tax dollar is paying for initially.
Please enforce a limit of no more than 1500 contracts; similar to other commodities.
For the love of God, do your job !
