In the current post-Great Recession environment it is imperative that our country has a set of laws and principles that will ensure that the Middle Class stops from being eroded. 2/3 of corporations do not pay taxes and House Republicans have passed legislation that would limit immunizations for the poor, limit Birth control for the poor, prevent families who depend on Food Stamps to lose their benefit if a member of their family goes out on strike for a fair wage. All of these attacks on the Middle Class are compounded by an increase in gas and food prices. We must get our moral compass back and not allow politicians to increase prices to a degree that people are injured worldwide.
