"Betting" (which is what derivatives do) on food and gas markets causes prices to go up, not only in our country, but world-wide. As a retired American consumer who feels every price increase, I urge the CFTC to apply strong rules to eliminate this type of gambling in these markets. People everywhere are still reeling from the abuse of derivatives in 2008, and high prices for food and gas causes political instability, as people find it impossible to make ends meet. Please use the power of the Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Act to keep derivative traders out of the food and gas markets.
