It is wrong at any time to allow betting/gambling by those with power and money to negatively affect the cost of basic needs for others. Our country has gotten so far from basic human principles, allowing citizens to suffer hardships brought on by unregulated wall street, banking, credit and loan industries to make unprecedented profits, while their risky ventures wiped out the life savings and retirements. This is wrong. Very wrong.
You have the ability to fix at least some of this problem. No longer allow gamblers to make the cost at the checkout stand and the pump to rise while they pocket profits that made others have to choose between food or rent, medicines or gas.
Please do what is morally right this time!
