During the banking crises of 2008-2009, I lost 79% of my life savings in an investment called “Nomura-Platinum All Weather," which I later learned was “Madoff-affected.” Most of what it took me 40 years to accumulate evaporated in a flash, and I became very depressed over this loss.
Today, in my mid-60s, I have serious memory problems and fear the dreaded “A” word. I am doing what I can to try to prevent this but it is costing a lot of money, and because of my Madoff loss, it looks like I will have to postpone my retirement 5-7 years.
In the meantime I am trying to rebuild my nest egg by buying mini-silver contracts in the hope that silver will reach its true market value and I can recoup some of my losses.
Please give us little guys a chance to compete with the big banks.
Please vote to limit silver contracts traded to 10,000-15,000.
Thank you very much,
Robert S. (name available upon request)
