Please move swiftly to regulate speculators.
My house heat comes from heating oil. Despite the fact that the house is energy efficient I cannot, in recent years, always afford to buy oil. As an older woman with a congenital immune deficiency problem I need a reasonable amount of warmth when the frequent bouts of illness come on.
It seems very wrong that my health and the health of so many (eg: the elderly, people who are ill, infants....) should be jerked about so wildly by speculators.
I have always managed to live on a small income with careful budgeting, but this has become very, very difficult due to the wild swings in heating oil prices.
Fair profit is one thing but profits driven by a few causing harm to the many is very, very wrong.
Speaking for myself and for the many who are struggling much harder than myself to feed and shelter themselves, please regulate the gamblers and speculators.
