I support legislation which will limit speculative trading of energy commodities. The costs consumers pay for energy products (diesel, gasoline, heating oil, etc.) have escalated dramatically in recent years to a point most Americans can no longer afford while "paper" traders who have no real stake in the use of these products are making record profits. Establishing limits on speculative trading would result in a significant improvement and return energy commodities to the tangible fundamentals of supply and demand.
