Metals Hearing
Dear Sir:
It is my understanding that the public hearing you held a few days ago had a very positive impact on many who
have been following silver for the past several years. Thank you for that result.
It has also come to my attention that you are considering limiting speculative position limits on COMEX silver
trading. I strongly urge you to restrict such speculative positions to no more than 1,500 contracts, if not 1,000.
Also please restrict any hedging exemptions from those limits to legitimate hedgers, not speculative ones.
And, finally please stop the levels of concentration in COMEX silver futures that have been experienced over the
past several years on the short side of the market.
