Metals Hearing
Position Limits
Sir,
Thank you for holding the recent hearing on position limits for the metals market, and
this opportunity to comment. I respectfully request that a speculative position limit be
established in COMEX silver of no more than 1500 contracts, and that the only exemption
be allowed for legitimate hedgers.
T believe that it is vital that we stop the levels of
concentration that have been allowed to accumulate in the last few years in COMEX
silver futures. It is not a free market when any one institution, or group of institutions,
are allowed to "set" the price.
