    Metals Hearing
    metals concentration
Thank you very much for offering this public comment period on the precious metals position limits
hearing. I watched the hearing on the internet, so I'd also like to express gratitude for that
opportunity as well. As a retail investor, my thoughts are straightforward. Please establish a
speculative position limit in COMEX silver of no more than 1500 contracts. Also, please restrict any
hedging exemptions from those limits to legitimate hedgers. I sincerely hope that the levels of
concentration in COMEX silver futures that have been experienced over the past few years on the
short side of the market will be stopped by these measures, if taken. It would be atriumph of free
markets- and financial freedom in general- for modest, retail investors such as me.
    Sincerely,
    Michael La Vette
