Metals Hearing
CTFC regulation of metals markets
I followed the recent CFTC hearings on precious metals markets with great
interest. Based on much of the testimony presented, my suspicions regarding
the manipulation of these markets, mainly by a few large banks, have been
more than amply confirmed. As I read the law, such manipulation is patently
illegal. As a small investor I expect our government to ensure that markets
are free and fair. This has obviously not been the case. I hope you will
establish and enforce strict position limits in the precious metals markets.
This is a reform that much needed and long overdue.
