Metals Hearing
Silver
Dear Sir,
I am a small investor in silver, and years ago, traded options, and while that explains my personal interest in
what occurs in that market, it isn't the primary reason I'm writing. I read Mr. Butler's columns, as well as others,
and am concerned about the alleged manipulation in the metals markets. As a U.S. citizen, I expect that as a
result of government regulations and oversight, we enjoy free markets, or else what are the taxpayers getting
for their investment? I accept there's risk involved, but not corruption. I am not offering a solution as I am no
expert, but leave that to Mr. Butler, and the agency responsible for providing protection to the
public. These allegations have been investigated for over a year. If true, while the CFTC fiddles, the speculator
is burned. Please take immediate action to address these issues as not only are investors being damaged
every day this situation remains unresolved, so is the country. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Jill Ackerman
