Our electoral system is not a sport. Wagering has no place in our political process. As a senior citizen I have witnessed the debasement of our national engagement in civil discourse and honest discussion of issues vital to the future of America. It’s bad enough that media coverage treats political contests as horse races without adding betting on outcomes. This is an awful idea and that it is even being considered is shameful.
