Hello Sir,
My name is Jose Gonzales and I live in Seattle, WA. I'm 44 years old and have lived in this area my entire life. I'm writing you to urge you to take action on oil speculation, which I believe has truly gotten out of control. Oil is the life blood of our economy. Until that changes, the people need to have leaders act responsibly on our behalf. The economy has several problems right now, and oil speculation is one of them. I believe a law was passed this year to stop and deal with the speculation on oil, but nothing has ben done. As a citizen of this country, I would like to believe the leaders are ready to help us. Can I count on you as one of those leaders? We would appreciate any help you get, as it will help you and your family too. We know the stories from around the country- jobs being lost, people not able to pay for heat in their homes- and that worries and distresses me.
Thank you for taking some time to look over this email. I know you are very busy and I'm not one of those write-every-day types, but I feel we have to do something, and this is my small step to try to reach out.
