This is a question for chairman of the CFTC.
I am a retired citizen of USA. The commission is required to issue new guidelines for curbing excessive speculation in crude oil and refined petroleum products futures. This has been waiting for almost a year. It is widely believed that the energy prices are not driven by supply and demand, but are driven by excessive speculations. Every day the issuance of new rules is delayed, it is costing taxpayers heavily in terms of higher price of energy. This is also affecting economic recovery of the nation. How long it will be before the commission issues new rules?
