At the present time we Americans are suffering due to the inflationary prices charged for domestic, industrial and commercial essential items.
Among them, the most important appears to be oil. It is a known fact that Americans can not live without using oils for the gasoline in their cars and for the preparation of many other products,among them pharmaceuticals and millions of other manufactured products.
I am aware of the many uses of oil because, being a toxicologist and having been employed by
E PA with the duties of approving the use of many products, I know that many of them require oil as solvent or diluents or even, as the main ingredient.
It is a well know fact that, among the many wars we are engaged with at the present, some of them are with oil producing countries. We also have friends that deal with us using their oil. Such friendly countries sell oil to large corporations and , speculators take a significant part in the dealings and transactions, including distribution and marketing.
In Florida the word VULTURES is commonly used in relation to building's speculator..
I will suggest that a similar title of OIL VULTURES could be use for the unethical oil speculators, whom defying our government agencies that allow them, or can not control such open irregularities, abuse the system. .
America, truthfully, is not a country where people can use bicycles for transportation; either our cities are to large or with hills and our population includes large numbers of senior people who are not used to pedaling. Thus, we need gasoline and we also know how to over use it.
Not only the C F T C should have the duty of controlling such wanton oil irregularity, not to say gangsterism, other Government agencies should enter the picture also; and regardless the respect for what we call "free enterprise", we must exert some control of such abusive actions against our people.
Utilities are regulated and controlled by the government, then why we can not control the gasoline as being also a utility?. Gasoline is an essential domestic product, in reality a utility.
THE GASOLINE THAT WE USE FOR OUR DOMESTIC TRANSPORTATION SHOULD THEN BE CONSIDERED A UTILITY AND BE CONTROLLED BY OUR GOVERNMENT IN ORDER TO SECURE THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY; AT LEAST THE ECONOMIC FUTURE OF IT.
There is not a valid reason for the prices charged when we buy gasoline at any one of the gas stations. We are being charged using the childish numbers such as $$$plus the . 99/100.
Instead of charging round figures in dollars, they add the tents of cents. Most people don't know that such usurious way of robbing us, using the tents of cents after the dollars charges, will make millions of dollars for the speculators and the unsavory corporations that use our land and resources for the satisfaction of their gluttony.
It is one of the most irresponsible action
