Dear CFTC,
I am writing you to urge you to stop speculators from interfering with the price of food and energy.
Wall Street lobbyists are destroying regular hard-working Americans like myself everyday by speculating on products necessary for our everyday lives...Food, gasoline, energy, etc.
When nearly 25% of my monthly net income goes to food alone, it is impossible for me to save for retirement, education for my son, emergency savings or purchase healthcare, and other household expenses. My take home pay does not afford me the lifestyle I lived at 25 or even 8 years ago. My current pay level is at what I made 25 years ago, yet my expenses in some cases have nearly quadrupled. This is criminal.
It is time for you to impose meaningful position limits before you and the speculators and Lobbyists completely destroy Middle Class America.
Thank you,
Aileen Scurato
