dear sirs, like many folks i recieved an email about the cftc having problems understanding the mandate from congress given to you about stopping excessive speculation in the oil and food areas of trading. Like most americans, i cannot even understand, even through careful examination of your rules, what the heck it is that you are even doing most times. As we all know "in confusion there is profit", and for at least a decade the cftc has been part of the problem not the solution when it comes to these exotic protocols and processes. I will just make this real clear and i believe i speak for most average americans. The american people are sick and tired of these speculators screwing up the price of food and fuel and are not going to stand for it any longer. I think that is clear enough for you. you will either stop the nonsense or the american people will at some point clean out the barn, and that time is much closer than many in washington and many on wall street think. Most americans have had absolutely enough of this wild west mentality that has cost this country trillions of dollars and destroyed millions of lives. this crap stops now.
