Dear Honorable Commission Members,
I’m kindly requesting you take action in regards to speculation in the commodities markets. While free market principles and minimized gov’t intervention have been a foundation of our country since its beginnings, there are those whose greed drives them to profit at the expense of the majority and greater economy. We’ve already seen it happen in the mortgage/real estate market, so we can’t deny the ramifications.
It is my wholehearted belief that our gov’t has a monitoring and policing role that is vital to minimizing those elements that would abuse & subvert our free market. By doing so, enough balance is maintained that the market can operate as it should, without succumbing to socialist restriction. Please don’t neglect your duties in this.
