Members of the CFTC:
There’s nothing wrong with a farmer’s decision to sell his crop ahead of the harvest, or for a chocolate company to sign contracts for cacao – again, ahead of time. However, We The People are being trampled on by speculators who operate without meaningful controls. One way to permit legitimate activity yet put a crimp in pure speculation is to impose carefully considered position limits. This is long past due. I hope you will act responsibility. You don’t want to be considered among the useless – like so many in Congress and in the various commissions – do you?
Thank you.
