Comment Text:
Dear Commissioners,
The recently imposed position limit of 5,000 contracts is much too high and still enables too large a control of any market to any short or long speculator. A more effective 1,500 contracts should be imposed, especially in the silver market. Please do not bow to pressure from the CME as you have by agreeing to this large (5,000) limit as they are not interested in protecting a small investor and have their own selfish motives for that suggested limit.
You have an opportunity to do the right thing to prevent any kind of manipulation to the metals markets. Please lower the level to a 1500 contract maximum and DO NOT allow exemtions. Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
Dr. Alan R. Altman
