Dear Chairman and Commissioners,
My name is Joshua Moniz, and I'm a student at the University of Notre Dame studying computer engineering from Massachusetts. I am writing to express my support for well-regulated prediction markets. I am passionate about software engineering but Kalshi has particularly sparked my interest in finance and economics. The accessible nature of Kalshi is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it is a great tool about learning about trading and understanding markets. However, it can easily be abused and misused. I think that there needs to be more education and resources about how "real" Kalshi is. It can feel like just a game, however, it takes analysis and careful research. Also, insider trading is a major concern for me and needs to be addressed.
Overall, I think that prediction markets hold an important place in society and can be a real tool. However, I do think there are flaws that need to be addressed like insider trading.
