Dear Chairman and Commissioners,
My name is Chris Chevy, and I'm just a regular citizen from Texas writing to share my thoughts on the Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Prediction Markets, as published in 91 FR 12516. I've used prediction markets a few times, and while I have serious doubts about whether they should even be legal, I felt I needed to weigh in on how theyre handled.
To be honest, I don't think prediction markets are a good idea at all. They feel too much like gambling dressed up as something else, and I worry they can be gamed by people with inside info or just a lot of money to throw around.
