Federal regulators cannot keep ignoring what is clearly happening here.

Unfortunately, Kalshi is running what amounts to straight-up sports gambling while hiding behind the CFTC to dodge state betting laws across the country.

Close to ninety percent of their trading volume comes from sports events, with everything from parlays to game outcomes driving the action like any other betting app.

Knowing how addictive and one-sided these markets can be, their aggressive push toward younger users feels deeply predatory and designed to hook people fast.

Yet the CFTC leaves far too much responsibility in Kalshi’s own hands to police their markets and protect users from big losses.

Oversight needs to get much tougher, with real safeguards instead of letting this platform operate with minimal checks.

Urgent action is required to rein Kalshi in before more Americans get financially burned by what is essentially unregulated gambling dressed up as a ‘prediction market’.
