    Comment Text:

I urge the Commission to take strong action on prediction markets that trade contracts based on real‑world events. These markets raise serious concerns about fairness, insider trading, and turning sensitive government actions into opportunities for profit. Contracts tied to military operations, war, terrorism, assassinations, or government policy decisions are especially risky because people with inside information could exploit them, undermining public trust in government.

The Commission should clearly ban event contracts related to these activities, as well as any contracts where outcomes can be known in advance or controlled by a small group, such as award shows, planned political speeches, or corporate announcements. These contracts are highly vulnerable to manipulation.

Under the Commodity Exchange Act, the Commission has both the authority and responsibility to prohibit event contracts that harm the public interest. I urge the Commission to ban these dangerous contracts, strengthen oversight against insider trading, and put market integrity and public welfare ahead of market growth.
